Who Can Sign Up a Wrestler for a Tournament?

Understand why an adult may see a wrestler or tournament without having authority to enter or pay for that wrestler.

Seeing a wrestler does not automatically grant signup authority

Jr Wildcats families can include parents, guardians, stepparents, relatives, caregivers, and other trusted adults. An adult may appropriately be able to see or help with a wrestler without having authority to make tournament-entry or payment decisions.

Parents and guardians

If you are a parent or guardian who is responsible for tournament participation but cannot access the expected signup function, ask Jr Wildcats to review the existing adult-wrestler relationship and authority. Do not create another account or duplicate wrestler as a workaround.

Caregivers and transportation helpers

A grandparent, uncle, babysitter, carpool adult, or other trusted person may need tournament information so they can transport or support the wrestler while appropriately having read-only or narrower access.

Knowledge access is not operational permission

Being able to read these instructions does not grant permission to enter, withdraw, pay for, or otherwise manage a wrestler's tournament participation. Operational authority comes from the Family Portal's governed family-access model.
