Volunteer is different from Wrestling Leader
The Volunteer pathway is intended for qualifying adults serving in non-coaching volunteer roles. Jr Wildcats uses it for appropriate Board members and regular volunteers who need the USA Wrestling screening/SafeSport pathway but are not serving as Wrestling Leader coaches.
Membership cost and background screening
Under the club's current understanding of the USA Wrestling Volunteer pathway, the Volunteer membership itself is free while the required background screening still carries its own cost. Because USA Wrestling can change membership pricing and processes, always confirm the current amount displayed in the official membership system before completing the transaction.
Complete the screening
- Sign in to USAWMembership.com.
- Select the Volunteer role/membership rather than Wrestling Leader when that is the role you are fulfilling.
- Follow the system's background-screening instructions for your profile.
- Submit all requested information accurately and completely.
- Allow processing time; do not assume a submitted screening is the same as a cleared screening.
- Verify the final status in the membership system before representing yourself as fully credentialed for the role.
