What TrackWrestling is useful for
TrackWrestling has been a standard tournament-management and results platform in wrestling for many years. Families can use it to find an event, locate a wrestler, open brackets, follow results, and see bout or mat information when the tournament publishes it.
Finding the event
- Go to TrackWrestling.
- Use the tournament event link provided by Jr Wildcats or the tournament, or search for the event in the interface provided.
- Search with only the information you need. Event name, state, and date are usually enough.
- Select the correct event and enter as a viewer.
Legacy or classic TrackWrestling views
FloSports acquired TrackWrestling in 2021 and is increasingly directing wrestling event discovery and viewing through the FloWrestling front end. Some TrackWrestling-managed events may still expose legacy or classic views. If the event provides one, experienced families may choose it.
Do not rely on a particular Classic button or label being present. Use the event link and interface supplied for that tournament.
Following your wrestler
- Open the event as a viewer.
- Find the wrestler by name, team, division, or weight class.
- Open the wrestler or bracket view.
- Check the current bracket position and next possible opponent.
- Watch for bout number, mat assignment, on-deck information, or other staging information when the event provides it.
- Refresh as needed. Tournament information can change quickly.
What to pay attention to
- Division and weight class: make sure you are looking at the correct bracket.
- Bout number: useful for understanding how close your wrestler is to competing.
- Mat assignment: tells you where the match is expected to occur.
- Bracket progression: shows where the wrestler goes after a win or loss.
- Results: confirm the result has actually posted before assuming the bracket has advanced.
Do not rely on the screen alone
TrackWrestling is an important tool, but tournament staff and coaches control the live event. Listen for announcements, watch the staging area, and follow coach instructions even if the online display appears behind or different.
