Before the season
- Confirm you have been selected/approved to coach for the upcoming Jr Wildcats season.
- Renew or obtain your USA Wrestling Wrestling Leader membership.
- Complete the required USA Wrestling background screening.
- Complete the SafeSport Core/refresher course assigned for your current training year.
- Purchase/renew the Jr Wildcats-required AAU Non-Athlete A/B extended-benefit membership and complete its screening requirements.
- Complete or confirm Bronze certification if you expect to coach the Missouri USA Wrestling State Series or another event that requires it.
- Confirm your current profile photo and membership/certification statuses in the relevant systems.
- Provide club leadership with requested membership/card information when needed for roster or event preparation.
Do not wait until tournament morning
Background checks, membership approvals, SafeSport status and certification updates can take time to process. Complete them early enough that the club can verify readiness before you are needed at an event.
Credentials are not the appointment
Having memberships or certifications does not independently create a Jr Wildcats coaching position. Club selection, conduct and participation expectations still apply.
