After You Sign Up: Getting Ready for Tournament Day

Know what to watch after signup and how the tournament-day Knowledge articles fit into the family workflow.

Keep watching the event information

After submitting the family's tournament decision, continue watching Jr Wildcats communications and the current event information. Final schedules, divisions, weigh-in instructions, arrival expectations, brackets, and mat assignments may not all be available when signup first opens.

Know which system the tournament uses

Depending on the event, families may follow tournament information through the current FloWrestling/TrackWrestling event experience, USA Bracketing, or occasionally posted wall brackets. Jr Wildcats has separate Tournament Day for Families Knowledge articles explaining those systems and common mat-staging terms.

Do not confuse signup with tournament-day readiness

A submitted signup is only one part of being ready. Review club communications for the current event and make sure you understand arrival, weigh-in, equipment, and other instructions that apply.

Ask when information conflicts

If the Family Portal, tournament platform, or another source appears to conflict with current instructions from Jr Wildcats, ask the club for clarification. Tournament staff and Jr Wildcats coaches or authorized club representatives are the operational authority for the live event.
