Jr Wildcats requires the A/B extended-benefit option
When purchasing an AAU Non-Athlete membership for coaching, Jr Wildcats requires the A/B (extended-benefit) option rather than the standard membership. The club uses this option because AAU's extended-benefit program can extend applicable AAU insurance benefits to qualifying participation in non-AAU events. This requirement gives the club and its coaches broader event flexibility.
This article explains the club requirement; it does not guarantee coverage for any particular incident or replace the terms, exclusions or claim decisions of an insurance policy.
Steps
- Use the official AAU membership process and select the Non-Athlete membership appropriate for a coach.
- Select the A/B / extended-benefit option required by Jr Wildcats.
- Provide accurate personal information and complete the membership transaction.
- Complete any background-screening follow-up required as part of the AAU Non-Athlete process.
- Do not assume approval is immediate. Allow processing time before an event at which you expect to coach.
- Once approved, retain your AAU membership information and provide it to the club when requested.
Use the current AAU Coach information when completing the process because AAU screens, pricing and screening steps can change from season to season.
